À Paris ♥

Sprinting to catch the Main Street bus to get to work last week, I was stopped dead in my tracks when my eyes caught sight of these adorable lockets in the window display of sweet local boutique Much And Little. Not only did I miss my bus but missing my bus led me into the heart-warming shoppe and gazing for a long time at these adorable and colorful little enamel lockets made in the city of lights.

These little lockets are from a sweet brand named Trois Petits Points. Launched in 2007, Trois Petits Points is designed and created by Emilie Despeaux in her workshop in Paris. Each piece is made of materials chosen with care from gold-colored brass or silver plate and is often enamelled with elegent pops of color. Her collection, of course, does not stop at just enamelled lockets and includes many other elegant pieces of jewelry from earrings to bracelets.

The sweet story behind the name of Emilie's collection is described by herself as:

"Trois Petits Points means in English « three little dots » or « three little stitches ». It's a reference to embroidery design that was my specialty when I studied textile design and more poetically to « ... » at the end of a phrase, a kind of promise that something will follow..."

Delta Necklace from the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

I love the simplicity of each piece and her additions of color, keeping the "classic" in a locket yet making it modern and fresh. Prices vary from piece to piece, but expect to pay anywhere around $100 or more for her precious handmade jewelry. Her jewelry can be purchased from Much and Little or Beklina's online.

I've already started a jewelry fund jar and just cannot wait to wear one of these lovely dainties around my neck ♥

Mini YSL Haul ♥

In times of stress turn to gorgeous and luxurious makeup

YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch, YSL Mascara Singulier in #3, YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #8 and #9, YSL Natural Action Exfoliator

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in shade #8 and #9

So far I am loving the exfoliator. It is granule-free and I love how it makes my skin after use. It literally makes my skin feel like that buttery softness after a facial. It's very simple and easy to use, just apply directly to cleansed dry face (with dry hands) and massage until the pretty golden gel turns oily (about a minute of massaging) then just rinse thoroughly with water and voila - beautiful moisturized skin!
The lip colors are gorgeous and fairly moisurizing and long lasting. I wore it last evening and even after drinking, eating, and wiping the color was still present on my lips!
I have yet to try the mascara or the Touche Eclat - so stay tuned for reviews!

Do any of you ladies have favorite YSL makeup items?

Heidi Merrick Trunk Show @ Oliver and Lilly's ♥

I just got back from Heidi Merrick's trunk show at Oliver and Lilly's. It was amazing! Her collection (both current spring/summer and fall) was absolutely breathtaking. The pops of color, flowy silks, and chic minimalistic designs had me weak in the knees. My favorite pieces would have to be the Abigail dress, Fig Tree dress (talk about romantic and sweet), and the oh so gorgeous silk Hans Blazer in sky blue.

Did I mention the shoppe looked absolutely adorable? The ladies were all gorgeous in Heidi Merrick and the additions of fresh flowers, sweets, and cute cushions made this adorable little shoppe even more adorable!

I am so happy that Heidi Merrick collection is available in Vancouver and ecstatic that it's at one of my favorite local boutiques. The Heidi Merrick collection and cute shop Oliver and Lilly's is a must-see lovelies!

Have a good weekend lovelies ♥

Jewelry Picks

I've been a little bit jewelry crazy lately and my collection seems to be building without me even knowing it! Here are some pieces that I am loving and wanting...

Marcia Moran Studs

I want one in every color and shape. I think her earrings are so gorgous and unique (actually her jewelry in general is very very gorgeous). I was never much of a druzy stone fan until I saw these stunning earrings in person. They are a bit on the pricey end, and they're not gold filled (they're gold plated), but if I had some extra money I would totally buy a few pairs. For now I'm saving a latte a time for a pair.
You can pick them up at the amazing Charlie and Lee or directly from Marcia Moran site. $89-$120

Freshtrends Body Jewelry

For all you daring ones out there Freshtrends has an amazing variety of body jewelry at incredible prices. They have wonderful sterling silver and 14kt gold pieces for very reasonable prices, most made in the US. They have some cute stud earrings, ear cuffs, and feather earrings and much more.
Purchase online at Freshtrends. Very reasonable wholesale prices.

Vera Meat Rings

How unique and crazy beautiful are these rings? They are all handmade and have so much character and spunk. I am so in love with the dainty heart ring. The rings come in a variety of metals. You can get brass, sterling, gold copper or 14kt gold. They also have some pretty rad 2 to 3 finger rings.
Purchase online from Verameat
(sometimes Vincent Park on Main Street will have them!)  $40-$300+

Michelle Chang Jewelry Rings

I have never been a skull kind of girl, but these rings are adorably chic. Everything is handmade and created from sterling or gold. She is open to custom requests if you would like a particular item in gold, or silver, or a mixture of both! These rings are on the pricey side, but they are so unique and hey we're supporting independent and individual artists and designers.
Purchase at Michelle Chang Jewelry on Etsy. $60-$300+

I am a total jewelry addict. I'm big on supporting up-and-coming businesses as well as independent designers, but I also frequent at F21, H&M, and Club Monaco (they just launched their Canadian online website not too long ago!) - all of which have fantastic jewelry.
Are there any jewelry pieces or places you would recommend?

Hope you're all having a fantastic start to your weeks! Vancouver weather has been drop-dead gorgeous!

Happy Mother's Day ♥

Wishing all of you beautiful mothers out there a wonderful day filled with love, laughter, family, flowers, and sprinkles of magic ♥
